Chairman of the SECTION (DEPARTMENT) FETUS AS A
PATIENT, FETUS AS A PERSON of Intercontinental
Academy of Medical-Social Sciences OGASH.
Dr. Corazon Yabes-Almirante to OGASH Chairman and
President:
Dear Professor Avtandil Chkheidze,
I am inviting you to the 23rd International Congress
of the International Society
Fetus as a Patient on March 15 to 17, 2007. in
Manila at the EDSA Shangrila Hotel.
I will be the Congress President. The theme of the
Congress is "ILLS FROM the WOMB: DEFUSING the
TICKING BOMB". Metabolic Syndrome, hypertension and
coronary artery disease are the adult diseases that
would increase by leaps and bounds in developing
countries and these can be traced to fetal origin.
We can do
something as obstetricians and pediatricians. Let us
be concerned about the Barker
Hypothesis* of intrauterine fetal programming and
prevent this epidemic. Attached is the program.
Please write to fetus2007@gmail.com for further
info.
I attached the pdf version of the program. Please go
to pages 2 and 3 to see the
topics. and page 4 for the organizers of this
Congress. I hope OG members will
participate in this Congress. Thank you.
Corazon Yabes. Almirante MD MSc PhD
*Prof.David JP Barker has agreed to speak at the
convention.
